Just a bit of channel manipulation my end really. I wanted to be a bit different ๐ it is HOO...but in the end it actually ended up looking a bit more HSO (but without the sulphur!) ๐

AstroStace started following The Rosette Nebula
-
This here is the Rosette Nebula. It lies at a distance of 5000 light years from Earth and is pretty spectacular if i do say so!! This is first light for me using one of altairs new mono cameras, and one of my first astro images in a long time (as i completely lost my mojo). Altair 72EDF + 1x flat, Altair Hypercam 115M Pro Tec, Altair NB filters, EQ6-R pro 30x 240s Ha + 36x 240s O[III] + darks. stacked in APP processed in Photoshop

I keep telling myself i'm going to start painting, but never get around to it. Maybe i need to order some stuff and actually give it a go. I wonder if Luna would sit still enough for me to paint her ?

Also wanted to pose the question, do we think CCD on the whole is on limited time in Astrophotography? I know a lot of the CCD chip manufacturers have ceased production.
