One advantage of having telescopes in Spain, capturing these low altitude targets that would be difficult to image from the UK. Brian Thank you Brian....To be honest its pretty low even in Spain only good for imaging a couple of hours a night depending on the time of year.

MarkAR
Another stunner. I was wondering if anyone would go after this target but I think it's usually really low in the UK.

Thanks Mark....Its very low in the UK, there would be a very small window of opportunity you might get something but its at a time of the year when ours skies just don't get dark...Its actually low in South Spain and was quite a challenge even there.... 10 hours ago, PeterBolt said: Amazing 👍 Thank you Peter
geoflewis
Another superb image Peter. Yes, there are lots of wonderful targets in that region that are just too low to image successfully from the UK. I've been trying to complete images of all the Messier catelogue targets and am now mostly left with a few globs and open star clusters in Scorpio and Sagittarius, all of which transit at <10 deg from my 52N location. Same for M83 the southern pinwheel galaxy which is a bit further west in Centaurus, which also transits at ~7 degs. I might yet have to resort to using that facility in Spain for some of them, but I haven't totally given up trying yet.... Cheers, Geof
