Marmot
It’s surprising what you can do with something so available as a smart phone. Now that is A very budget friendly form of AP🙂

TerryMcK
I remember the first time I saw Jupiter and its moons through a telescope many years ago. Didn't have cameras in those days but it is indeed surprising what can be done with a smartphone.

Taken 3/6/2006 with a Canon Rebel XT.

I assume it was your 80mm F5 refractor, but what eyepiece and hence what magnification were you using?

Honestly I don’t expect to take any picture as I was going in bed but then I said ... ok let me wait for Jupiter to rise . To my defence I left the phone holder at home so I was there with my shaking hand due to the cold! And the focus is not brilliant with the phone plus the scope itself doesn’t has a brilliant focus knob! I agree and Galileo didn’t have a sky watcher or any Go To scope! Brilliant mind!
TareqPhoto
Looking at those results making me smile and feel how lucky i am then, and it is even worse that i keep thinking to buy a so large scope as soon as possible if i can and stop using my current nice scopes for it.
