Hi all, i know this time of year is not great for astro as there isn't much dark sky to image in. This is just over four hours image time in 300s..240s and 90s subs of M57 the ring nebula in Lyra, taken this last three weeks. I had to bin around half of the subs taken.

Telescope  OOUK ODK12

Camera    A A 294C ProTec

Mount      Ioptron Cem120ec

Looks great, nice star colour too. I know the skies are not very dark and there is a full moon, but we still go out on a clear night. 😀

Thanks for the nice comment Brian, and yes we keep imaging as long as the weather allows. [can't help it]

Lovely round Stars Bob, you might want to try a tiny bit of HDR in PI. it might just bring some detail out in the nebula.

At the moment John i do not have PI, been holding off told it is complicated. Just a basic knowledge of a  workflow with APP and Photoshop .

Hi Bob, you are doing a wonderful job with APP and PS, so can understand not moving to PI.

Yeah, PI is a steep learning curve, I've been using it 3 years now and can get around it OK, but it has taken a long time, the interface wasn't too bad, that only took a few sessions, but the rest of it has taken me a long while and time spent watching videos etc.

Hi John, yes i have it in mind and it is on my get it list at some point. I have been told it is the best for Astro processing.
