First attempt at Ha Solar

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I had my first go at Solar using a Ha scope the other day. Exciting stuff and lots to learn (such as adjusting the tilt adapter to remove the Newton’s Rings).

Also below are a few images using a normal solar filter on my Nexstar 4SE to capture the gigantic active region.

Daystar Solar Scout 60mm

Nexstar 4SE

ZWO 290mm mono

Images false coloured in Pixinsight.

Many thanks

Dan

Great images. If this is your first attempt you must be very pleased.

Thanks ever so much. Really pleased with this as a star and looking forward to fine tuning this type of imaging.
