My planetary workflow

Pretty amazing to see how each step makes for a clearer image. The impact this software has never ceases to amaze me! I'm very eager to see how an image turns out with even better data, without the odds against me.

Both Autostakkert and Registax are excellent pieces of software. The comparison between the raw data and the final image is startling. Do you stack every frame, or just the top 20-25% of frames?

Hi. This was the full stack as I was having some camera issues, so I didn't collect the max amount I could've. It depends really. Some stacks I've gone for around 50% if the seeing was ok and the graph looks good. I'm going to do some experimenting with Jupiter, capturing a few short vids then learning the art of Winjupos. Just want to see what works for me

that is a great compilation, I have changed my rig around to try and get some planetary shots, I have nothing yet it's all a bit new, and to be honest i am not so sure that my setup will yield any credible data. Time will tell.  I have those software applications installed except Affinity and not Photoshop. if i get something recognisable i will pop it on the thread.

nicely done

EDIT:  ? - Vicki what software did you use to capture the original video, i may have missed it .
