As far as I know Svbony Technology Co., Ltd. are a distributor and don't actually manufacture anything themselves.

Everything I can see of theirs can be bought under a different brand name. Not unlike Orion Telescopes and Binoculars in the US. Although they are often cheaper than their competitors. Which is good for the consumer.

I have a 50mm SvBony branded guide scope and 60mm BST Starguider - aside form aperture and focal length they are of identical construction.

I'm not sure what happened to Barsta as their site disappeared. At one time Synta sourced most of their Plossls and the Sky-Watcher UWA's from them. As far as I can ascertain Barsta (BST) were/are two Taiwanese companies who seemed to predominantly source from the Chinese mainland. 

 

I had an address for SvBony once and it turned out to be a residential block of flats in China. My guess is that 'Svbony' are basically a marketing front and only really exist in cyberspace.
