Intel NUC computer

Hi first of all I’m sorry if I’m posting in wrong section,

i have sorted how to align my scope up and I have been bought a Intel NUC, with WiFi and windows 10 installed like my laptop has along with my Desktop PC.

im wanting to know if there is anyway of connecting either lap top or Desk top to the NUCk. I want to control my scope through the NUC if possible. 

Using PHD2 & Stellarium. I do I need to buy a wireless keyboard and a HDMI monitor just to get it setup. I can’t seem to find a way to pick the NUC up via WiFi because I don’t know if it’s already enabled on the NUC it has got WiFi built in already. Hope that makes sense

any help would be great fully excepted.

Try Anydesk Anydesk link its will amaze you , i do exactly what you want to do but the other way round i control an Eagle3s on a NUC computer.

My rig is connected to my laptop outside but I control everything from my PC in the house with Google Remote desktop. It's quite basic, but is free and does the job. It also has no time restrictions on it like some other remote desktops. To use Google desktop you will need your NUC on the same network as your laptop or PC.

Or the free version of TeamViewer. Any number of VNC like remote viewing utilities out there.

I use Windows remote desktop with a cat5 cable. At least one of the two computers must have Windows 10 pro or better.

A word of caution on the NUC power. When you start the box, it takes a big inrush from the PSU. I don't know what arrangements you have. But the long 12V leads and 'less than good' connectors sometimes found in astro installations are bad news. It can result in a fail to start. No permanent harm - just frustration in the dark and lost imaging time.

I used to be Linux nerd so prefer VNC. So my Windows machines are connected using UltraVNC over WIFI. I found Ultra to be more reliable than TightVNC.
