Which camera?

Hi all

My modified DSLR seems to be on its last legs so I’m looking at a dedicated astro camera. Not really in the position to break the bank right now and, I’ll be sticking to colour as the weather doesn’t give me enough opportunity for mono etc.

I've got an Evostar 72ED. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Much appreciated

I can't recommend a colour camera as I don't use them, but I will recommend any camera with a pixel size of around 2.5. This will ensure you are neither oversampled or undersampled with your images, for your setup.

I have both the 183MC-pro and 294MC-pro.

I can't comment too much on the 183 as I only recently picked it up and just haven't had the skies to give it big test.  There seems to be a few floating around in the used market (I picked up mine in near mint condition for £500)

I used the 294 extensively on my 72EDF and results were great - on paper it does undersample on this scope, but eitehr due to sky quality or drizzling I've not noticed huge issues.
