Popular Post AstronomyUkraine
This is a SHO of Melotte 15. The combination was a mix of straight up SHO and dynamic SHO at a 40/60 ratio. 10 hours each of SHO filters at gain 139, offset 21 with my ZWO 1600 MM. Processed in Pixinsight, with a final tweak in Photoshop. Cropped to focus on Melotte 15 and the dark structures in the Heart nebula. Astrobdlbug
That’s a stand out image - the 30hrs has paid off so well - the clarity and detail is exceptional - as I’ve just acquired and processed same target -with half the hours- I absolutely commend your processing to bring out such amount of detail in the large scale cloud structures and the fine detail around Melotte 15 itself….. Brilliant Brian 😁 Bryan

Brilliant Brian 😁 Bryan Thanks Bryan. I was surprised myself by the detail. I have shot the Heart before and never realised it had so much fine detail in it, although the last time was with my ED80 doublet. This image was taken with my triplet. I had a good run of clear nights, followed by a week of clouds, but the next 4 or 5 days are forecast to be clear.

Sonyme
I'd love to have seen you take this image and process it. Another one I'd happily put on my living room wall. Beautiful.

Very little was done colour wise and the noise was very low on this particular target.
