mightymonoped
Had to take advantage of a cloudless (almost) New Moon, even if it was a bit windy. Astrobdlbug
Such a recognisable and iconic image - you've captured the essence and your framing makes it just float in a sea of stars - another successful balcony image. For me if its a deep highly detailed image or a couple of hours this is one, if not the number one, favourite of mine in terms of astro image subject. mightymonoped
Thanks guys! This target has been an ambition of mine to capture for quite some time. This was a first attempt with a cooled camera and although the target was quite low down for most of the imaging session, it’s really whet my appetite. Looking forward to adding more data to it. May have to go into the field in order to get a prolonged session though, as there’s a tree which obstructs the current view. Now just have to wait for another cloudless New Moon. 😂
