Mars at closest approach.

Recommended Posts

Seeing not particularly good and I was rushing (excuses, excuses). 5" refractor, f9.3 pushed to f27.9 (3540mm fl). Roughly 64 frames/s best 50 of 3000 frames. (ASI120mc-s) Image is a bit soft, focusing could have been better. Filtered in PIP, stacked in As!2, Registax for wavelets finally tickle in Gimp. Also problem maintaining guiding via ST4, realised when I took down that I was capturing via a mirror diagonal (I realise it's a no no but could not lay my hands on the extension tubes (another excuse)) I failed to reverse the "x" axis on the guiding software.
