paul
van den Bergh 31 is a faint reflection nebula associated with dark nebula (Barnard 26-28) in the constellation Auriga. With excellent seeing, tracking well behaved I expected a lot more pop for 4.5hrs of RGB. This is definitely one to only try on moonless nights. The detail so far is very subtle and shows up best on my uncalibrated monitor! Its promising but I need lots more hours to get the fainter clouds to show against the backdrop rather than just an absence of stars.
paul
An extreme stretch shows the structure I'm trying to get and a lot of FPN 😒which I hope will disappear with more signal.
