Hannahgrace
I’m doing a re-edit of my Melotte 15 data, and I have had the help from Brian who has shown me how to reduce stars (seriously you are amazing!!!) and I’m not sure what kind of colour scheme to go for. I’m leaning toward the third one, albeit quite false (even though it’s a false colour image anyway haha) but I’d love to know other people’s thoughts and constructive criticism. I plan to spend some more time tomorrow editing. Thank you 😊 4
ApophisAstros
Nice , always like a bit of reprocessing , with regard to Star reduction , if you install "Starnet version 2" as a process in Pixinsight , you will be amazed at the results and how easy it is. Roger Thanks Roger. I used the EZ processing suite in Pix, and I’m happy with the results of the star reduction, it’s a huge improvement (IMO) to my original version of Melotte 15. I couldn’t download starnet v2 on my work Mac for some reason. Will try again another time!
Sonyme
All nice Hannah but the centre image is my favourite. I like the blue tones and I think you have the balance just about right with this one. Gary

I’ve got to a point with it where I think I’m happy but I don’t know it, if that makes sense?! I can’t imagine how I want it to look but I’m happy with how it looks haha! I would be happy with any of them, but I would lean towards the middle image if my arm was twisted.

Dmack1
Another vote for the middle image. I'm not so keen on the purple and the tone of one on the left means less contrast. But they are all excellent.

Thank you so much 🙂 middle is my fave now I’ve had a good few days to step back and look again! It can get so confusing when you’re staring at the same image for ages!
mightymonoped
Just did a quick take to see what my gut reaction was, and it's definitely the middle image (although all three are good). It's balance and clarity of detail wins out. 🙂

(New insta friend! 😄) I definitely like the middle the best 🙂 best colour I think and nice detail (after staring at it for ages and then leaving it for a week 😂)
