Popular Post Sterrenland
Another new one for me...finally got to try the Flaming Star Nebula. Annoyingly, I only got just under a couple of hours before my house roof intervened. Conditions were fairly good apart from the wind that gusted all evening. There's so much going on in this nebula...I'd love to have a larger scope to get more detailed shots. Would love a 120mm!

paul
A nice result, agreed lots of roiling interesting clouds to peep at. I like how you have framed it, a good choice for your fov. I keep looking at this one but its a bit big for my current setup and while I'm ironing out my guiding I don't want to dismantle it!(I had a go at IC410 last night though - I still need some Oiii but weather has lucked me out for the week).

Thanks...I keep contemplating getting something around 120mm to be able to isolate details. Must admit the 80ED has been brilliant and the FOV is perfect for most of the things I've wanted to capture....but sometimes I want to'zoom' in a bit! Sonyme
I understand what you mean about a larger scope but, in my very humble opinion, I think you've taken a cracking image. Gary

Gary Thanks...kind of you to say so. Just wish the weather would be a little better in the UK.
