Popular Post Astrobdlbug
@Dmack1 -we have been on same target this past week with our ASI2600MC. I have combined 3.5hrs of ASI2600MC and L-Extreme I captured last Sunday evening to re-orientate a widefield I did of these objects back in October 2020 with Samyang 135mm that used Optolong 7nm Ha,Oiii, Sii and ASI1600MM. It now includes the additional M38 Starfish open cluster as well as M36 and M37. I also incorporated a higher resolution image of the tadpoles that I took with my AT106EDT and ASI1600. Kind of getting inventive as to how to re-use older data with new data. The image probably has contributions from about 16hrs of data, all processed with APP,PI,RegiStar and PS CC I have possibly been too aggressive with star reduction as this part of the sky has extremely dense star fields that in my opinion detracts from the intersting nebula Bryan
Sonyme
Nice Bryan. The star clusters definitely add depth to the image. Gary
Dmack1
And there I was thinking I was widefield with my Sharpstar! Thats a great image, a real sense of scale and depth.
TerryMcK
Great work Bryan. From a distance it looks like a horses head cocked over 45 degrees with scary eyes. A hint of pointed ear at the far left. 1
GazAstro
Very nice, if somewhat scary looking image 🙂
Sterrenland
Interesting image to see how everything links up rather than individual pics of objects.

I could not agree more - its absolutely why I have spent more hours imaging with Samyang 135mm making mosaics so you can see the huge structures that are 10's and even 100's of light years across - the scale is incomprehensible Bryan
