My previous telescopes were a Meade 80mm refractor, Meade ETX90, and Meade LS8. I got a Celestron C8 Powerstar PEC to replace the LS8 last September. The C8 has very good optics and collimation. I've used it to observe Venus, Jupiter and Saturn, plus the Orion Nebula, Pleiades, and several other Messier objects. Next I plan to use it with my Nikon D5300 for astrophotography starting with the moon and can't wait. Denny.
