Dmack1
This was imaged back in march with my canon 700D and my LX200 GPS. I was not really happy with the image. I reprocessed it with new tools (specifically NoiseXterminator and the new WBPP with local normalisation and feel its reasonable now. i had about 5 hours total but BPP refused to register about and hours worth (did not have the will to work out why!) so this ended up as about 4 hours. On a night with more gusts than the LX200 likes so I'm ok with it. EDIT: seeing it on here the background looks awful - it looked ok on my imaging PC. Not sure why its so different. Sterrenland
Looks good to me...lots of colour and plenty of the subtle 'dust' around the arms.
Greg M
For a DSLR and an LX200 that's an awesome image. Congrats! I never had the courage or ability to put my old 12" LX200GPS on a wedge and attempt any long exposure imaging.
