Moonlit
'evening! I just got myself a used telescope after a few years of wanting one. I'm keen on all the technical bits and physics and stuff but I've never actually looked through an eyepiece of something this size before so who knows where it takes me. Tonight is actually the first night it's not clouded over since I got it, so I'm heading out in an hour to see what all the fuss is about.

I got lucky and found an old Helios(Skywatcher) 120mm refractor, 1000mm focus, including an old EQ4 mount and a diagonal, a 2x Barlow and 10/20mm EPs for just 1500NOK (about US$150). After last nights successful excursion (Andromeda was just an elongated blob! I thought it was much bigger and more detailed!) I'm thinking of getting 2" diagonal/EPs, since I can use them when I upgrade the scope.
