Razz
I'm looking to get a good solar filter for my SvBony SV503 80mm and, for obvious reasons, don't want to be cheap about it so I'm looking for some opinions...I'm looking at this one... https://www.highpointscientific.com/astrozap-baader-solar-filter-for-orion-ed-80-100-and-104-mm-114-mm-telescopes-az1003...Thoughts or better suggestions? I also came across this solar finder...any thoughts? https://www.highpointscientific.com/tele-vue-sol-searcher-solar-finder-ssf-1006 Thanks on advance for any advice/opinions. TerryMcK
I can recommend the Altair solar wedge. Your scope will not need anything on the front at all. Also there will be no fear of pinpricks through the film as there is with Baader type film filters. Have a look here https://www.altairastro.com/solar-herschel-wedge-443-c.asp
Razz
Thank you. I never knew such a thing existed. I like this more than the solar filters/film...I'll be getting one of them...thanks again...
