Jupiter with GRS - 6 Oct 2022

Recommended Posts

Seeing started out iffy, but got better as the evening progressed and Jupiter gained elevation. I captured SERs throughout most of the GRA transit. The high resolution still image comprises 3 x 6min SERs quality cropped to best 6000 frames per SER in PIPP, de-rotated in WinJupos, stacked in AS3!, wavelets sharpened in Registax, with final tweaks in Affinity Photo, hence the final image has 18000 frames.

The below animation comprising some 2.5 hours elapsed time, captured  in a series of 16 x 6 min SER videos. Each SER was cropped for the best 6000 frames in PIPP, derotated in WinJupos, then stacked in AS3! before being sharpened with wavelets in Registax6. Final colour tweaks and levels adjustments were done in Affinity Photo. The individual images were taken back into PIPP to build the GIF animation.
