AstronomyUkraine
I finally managed to start imaging again. Nothing too serious yet, mainly ironing out a few kinks in the system. Overall I'm very happy with the mount. I did have to adjust the belt tension on the dec axis, a little fiddly, but nothing too complex. The ipolar is very straight forward and just as quick as Sharpcap once it's calibrated, I was within a degree or so according to the guide wizard in PHD2, so I'm happy with that.. The guiding is sensational compared to my EQ6, even last night with terrible seeing, I had it down to 0.45 RMS. Tonight is even better, currently running at 0.33 RMS. I used PPEC as well as PHD2, but it didn't seem to improve the guiding much. I'm currently taking ha of IC 1318 in Cygnus. The stars are round to the edges, with very little haloing.
