Several threads on SGL.

Thanks, but I'd rather walk up the M42 with nails in my shoes than ever use the vitriolic, malicious, virulent, envenomed pandemonium that is SGL. I've even cancelled my account at FLO. They'll never get another penny out of me.

I'm just trying to help...... You've obviously had a bad experience for some reason. I skate through pretty much all the astro forums out there and never seen anything as you describe.

I appreciate the help, thanks. I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience with SGL. In fact, I'm not the only one on this forum who has had a very negative experience on SGL. It's a shame really, it could be a decent forum. Either way, FLO have lost me as a customer for ever.

Has anyone had any experience of these for visual?

I'm just curious, thanks.

As it happens I have been looking closely at the 62ED or 82ED for a grab'n'go scope and they apparently have great build quality but personally I'd like a longer focal length for visual, especially in an APO (I have an achro now). Having carried around an f/8.3 120mm quite a lot without a problem I think a 90-100mm is more for me.

Yes, the build quality looks good. I see them more as rich field scopes though myself, so the focal lengths look similar to my 72ED. I don't know what quality the doublets are though.
