mightymonoped
Managed to grab a meagre couple of hours over two panes last night. Combined these two frames with a previous test capture of about 30 mins. Processed each pane as Ha and Oiii and then combined each as a separate HOO before combining as a mosaic in Astro Pixel Processor. Then cleanup up and processed Star Layer and Nebula Layer before merging back using Photoshop CC. Quite pleased with this given the short integration (and complete lack of clear nights lately). Hopefully will add to this if we get a few more clear nights, while it's still accessible to me from the balcony. Tony
TerryMcK
You produce stunning shots from the balcony Tony. Astonishing considering the relatively short integration time and poor weather we have had lately.

Just switch on the power and whip off the Telegizmos cover, ready to go. The main thing is keeping a constant idea of what targets are realistic from the limited window. I usually have a good idea of what broadband and narrow band targets are available, so just switch filter according to Moon phase. The rest is just me mucking around in APP and Photoshop 😂
Astrobdlbug
Another great balcony grab - I fully agree with Terry here that the images you capture from your balcony are amazing and this is another - capturing and processing mosaics is becoming a bit of your specialist subject - is that the new ASIAir application thats got you hooked on mosaics ? The weather has not been great recently so a couple of hours feels like a good session at the moment. I was hoping for a few cloud free hours last night as well, but the cloud did not disperse as forecast and I ended up processing what data I had - so new image coming up... and

I think the biggest difference has been investing time in learning different APP workflows tbh. Particularly Sara Wager’s tutorials on mosaics in APP, together with advice on processing as panes rather than trying to do it all in one go.
