Popular Post Dmack1
This was taken over 2 nights early in December with a 98-90% moon. Its a total of 6 hours with the Sharpstar 61EDPHii, the ASI 2600mc and the L-enhance. Processed in Pixinsight with Blanshans HOO Normalisation meththod. The main work was done beforeI got Blurxterminator so I feel a reprocess coming on 😅 Edited December 31, 2022 by Dmack1
MartinS
That’s a nice image Dmack1. Especially, given the seeing and moonlight challenges.
Padraic M
Very nice David, glad you got some imaging in, I spent those two nights trying to get my mount working. Lovely image, I haven't seen that one before.
Dmack1
Thanks Padraic. yes I had one of the best runs of clear nights ever over here during the really cold snap, about 6 nights out of 10 I think. But almost every night, the met.ie and ClearOutside were both forecsting full cloud all night. It makes me wonder if the models they use for the predictions just cant cope with that specific type of weather system for my area. TerryMcK
I gave up on ClearOutside a couple of years ago. Not sure what feed it uses and is never right now. I find that MeteoBlue is really good and the app ScopeNights is accurate for my neck of the woods.
