CaptainTweaky Posted November 3, 2020 Share Posted November 3, 2020 As the Moon was so high and bright the other night, DSO imaging was out of the question - so the next best thing, The Moon!This is one of the many clair-obscur effects that are visible now and again on the Moon - The Jewelled HandleThe Jewelled Handle occurs when peaks of the semi-circular Jura mountain range catch the lunar dawn’s light. The illuminated arc of Montes Jura is projected into the dark terminator shadow.
