NGC7000 Rework in SHO

Recommended Posts

Had another stab at this one almost from scratch.

Stacked and registered in APP.
Linear data processed in PI using RC “X” suite and Bill Blanshan’s stretch tools before processing as SHO and finishing in Photoshop CC.

Thanks all!

I’m really pleased with the way this one turned out. I consciously tried to not overdo the saturation and like the feeling of depth in the starfield. Feels a bit more ‘mature’ to me than my previous efforts, if that makes sense? 😂

Just realised I’d left the title of this as NGC7000 instead of putting Elephant Trunk  Rework in SHO. Doh!

Can I edit it? Or can a moderator change it if not? Thanks.

Lovely colour and dark nebulosity. How do you think this compares with other images you have posted of the Elephants Trunk?     Gary

Notwithstanding the incorrect titling I’ve given to this thread, here’s a comparison of the new/versus old Elephant Trunk Nebula in SHO 😝
