Popular Post AstronomyUkraine
This is a very quick and dirty RGB combination of the Leo Triplet. I recently purchased the Antlia LRGB V-Pro filter set, and was waiting for the weather to clear up to try them out. First imprssions are very good, they are far superior to my Optolong LRGB filters. Even with a 40% moon out last night, the median readings were way lower than expected. Two minutes images had a reading ranging from 500 in the red, to 750 in the blue and green. That's in a Bortle 5 location too. The image is a combination of just the RGB filters. Red - 1 hour Green - 1 hour Blue - 20 mins

I was surprised by the amount of colour and detail for an image with less than 2.5 hours of data.
RaDec
Excellent detail & colour for a relatively short amount of exposure Brian. Very impressive result from those filters.
TerryMcK
I have those filters too and reckon they are pretty good albeit I can only do 30 second exposures from my polluted skies. Excellent results Brian.

Sonyme
Very nice Brian. Bortle 5 yet the background looks great. Lovely detail. One of the best I've seen of the Triplet for quite some time. Gary

Sonyme
Hi Brian, to what degree, if any, do the filters you use affect the exposure times? Gary

I use the same exposure times as I always have. The difference is the median values, which are way lower with the Antlia filters, allowing for more contrast and less light pollution.
