geoflewis
After 2 months of imaging Mars, during which time I was unable to get an image of the planet with Syrtis Major front and central my luck change for the better the last 2 nights. The below image shows 2 very similar view from 4 November approx 40 minutes appart. Most of the relevant details are annotated on the image. To add a little more info, both images are IR-RGB images, i.e. IR used as a luminence at 100%. Each image comprises 3 x IR-RGB runs, with each of the 12 videos processed in AS3! for best 1000 frames, wavelet sharpened in Registax 6 before derotation stacking in WinJupos to build the LRGB image, before final tweaks in Registax 6, PS and Affinity Photo. Thanks for looking.
