mightymonoped
This is a combination of three sessions, including just over an hours worth from last night. I culled the subs down to around 3 hours worth in Astro Pixel Processor and stacked and integrated as HOO Colour. A little bit of light-pollution adjustment in APP before handing over to PI for the processing. NoiseX at 14% then BlurX with stars at 10% and process first as yes. NoiseX at default Stretched using Bill Blanshan's scripts before passing the saved Tiff file over to Photoshop for finishing touches. StarX first Create starlayer Starless layer - match colour to bring up the saturation without introducing too much noise Minor adjustments to Contrast, Brightness Clean up star-layer and reduce star size before merging back using screen blend mode Address remaining flatness and edge issues using Astro Flat Pro plugin Final reduction of stars before saving SW80ED Pro (gold) ASI294 mc pro Optolong l-eNhance filter EQ6-R Pro mount ASIair Pro - capture and guiding Tony Edited May 17 by mightymonoped
RaDec
Nice work Tony - great to see that palette. So much is in SHO (me guilty too) these days. Excellent processing. You do two iterations of NoiseXT? I tend to as well, just interested. Also, your settings in StarXT - how did you settle on them? Great image
Sonyme
Very nice Tony. Love the way the outer edge of the Eagle appears to glow as a result of the stars and nebula shining and illuminating it from behind. Gary

I was feeling in a bit of 'purist' mode I suspect, and thought I'd just use what the l-eNhance had actually captured. I wanted to see what I could get without having to fabricate channels or play with the colour mix too much. Re: StarX, I pretty much use the settings straight out of the box for both PI and PS. I can't say I've had any issues with either tbh. Currently, my preference is to save the starless and star-layer separately as .tiff files and then do final processing and merge back using Photoshop (if I'm currently paying for both, I want to use them 🙂 ).
RaDec
Don't blame you - might as well make use of the money! I also tend to stick to the standard settings, but always on the lookout for improvements. You've really controlled the halos well - the L-eNhance filter is way better than an old ZWO dualband I had. The stars looked like the headlights on an old Morris Minor LOL I invested in an AA 4nm and hey presto - mostly gone. You've got a cracking natural glow around the Pillars too. Well done!
