TerryMcK
I have been experimenting with NINA and had a few hours of nautical dark from my Bortle 7/8 over the last few days from 02/06/2023 to 05/06/2023 There was a heap data from all three spectra. Camera: ZWO ASI294MM Pro Scope: William Optics ZS103 with 0.8 reducer/flattener Acquisition Software: N.I.N.A Images all Bin2x2, 180 seconds, 120 Gain and Offset 8 with Antlia 3nm filters. Ha - 78 subs 3.9 hours S2 - 41 subs 2.05 hours O3 - 50 subs 2.5 hours Total 8.45 hours Processed entirely in PixInsight 3
TerryMcK
I used exactly the same process in PixInsight for this image with the exception of using a linear fit process between the O3 and S2 images balancing them to the Ha image. Then combined in the same way as the upper image. It has produced a vastly different colour rendition which I prefer.
Astrobdlbug
Amazing image Terry. Definitely agree second linear fit version colour is improvement and also gives better definition of the different structures in the nebula. Don’t think I’ve seen this area in such detail before. Nice to see nebula in June, taking advantage of the clear skies. I’m up in north west Scotland at the moment, wonderful clear skies - but no darkness this time of year - best way to describe is that there is a constant sunset glow across the sky every night - beautiful, but not astroimaging friendly Bryan
Dmack1
Great images Terry and a nice comparison of processing.

I prefer the second one also. I use linear fit on all my images, the difference in background levels in my location can vary quite a lot between the different SHO filters.
Adam Y
Gorgeous... the second one has almost a stained-glass quality to it.
