Popular Post P Holdsworth
Hi everyone, here's my start on the horsehead nebula with just 2 hours of data so far but dithered this time . Hopefully with another 2 or 3 hours it will continue to improve but love this target. I'm just using a stock dslr so the fact the target is quite bright helps with my equipment. It seems pretty low in the sky literally over street lights so seemed to have more gradients than normal.......but I'll take it. Just so nice to get something quick after the recent weather.

Dmack1
That has come out really well, particularly for only 2 hours with a stock camera. I've not shot that target yet but its on my list for soon.

P Holdsworth
@dmack1Thank you, Yes I think it's quite a striking nebula and very bright. I went for 40 x 3 min subs which I'll probably do again on the next session.
TerryMcK
Good work for a couple of hours. I cant image that as a neighbours house (which is lit up like a pub with downlighting in the eaves) gets in the way this time of year when it gets higher. Later on in the year I would have to move the scope into a more favourable spot but then running into trees.
