Popular Post Astrobdlbug
so hello, my first deep sky posting on the forum, I was out last Sunday evening and decided to grab a few hours on the Sadr region that is now heading towards the west, before I attempted to capture Oiii on my ongoing Auriga project featuring the Spaghetti nebula (that session did not go very well as clouds kept drifting in and out of frame. So Sadr - very quick 1 hr for each filter captured in 240sec subs at gain 200 with ASI1600MM using Optilong narrowband filters all taken through Samyang 135mm lens set at f2.Subs Integrated with APP, processed almost entirely in Pixinsight, but I did revert to Photoshop for some final colour tweaks and selective enhancement of the dark stuff....I stretched the Ha,Oiii,Sii using histogram and modified the stretches to get the colour balance to my liking. The Ha was much more intensively processed with deconvolution, and Ez Denoise, A script based on Jon Ristas' TGVDenoise + MultiscaleMedianTransform method, I then combined this processed Ha as a luminance layer over the combined RGB image. To achieve this colour palette I used PixInsight : Dynamic narrowband combinations with PixelMath that is published on https://thecoldestnights.com/2020/06/pixinsight-dynamic-narrowband-combinations-with-pixelmath/The full size image can be found on astrobin https://astrob.in/46tgkq/0/

Astrobdlbug
Thanks Gina, I am, when the weather allows, really enjoying imaging in narrowband with the Samyang 135. Bryan

Dmack1
I really like that. The colours make it very dramatic and the little Crescent just jumps out.
