Cumbrianwolf
I thought I better say hello to you all and wish you all the upcoming season's greetings. Due to prior work requirements but mostly the neighbour who has just built a lean to and seems to want to light the world up with his PIR LED lighting systems, I have not been able to use my new astrophotography set up which is annoying to say the least, especially so with all the advice I garnered from you all on here and plenty of research and some limited experiences in the past from a darker area. Now the neighbour is not really approachable and barely speaks when I see them outside, I am looking at some kind of sheet or portable observatory to try to keep the excess light out of my astro shots. Anyway, to end on a positive note, I shall be looking at more options to try to improve my chances and if you can advise any ideas, I am all ears I may even have to go with the portable option and try to motivate myself to take the kit out on the road near to me! Regards to you all, John.
Carastro
How very annoying and inconsiderate of your new neighbour. Only things l can suggest are a screen and do narrowband.
RaDec
Sorry to hear this all too familiar story again. What a pain! A quiet word in his shell-like perhaps? Light pollution is becoming a neighbourhood problem in lots of areas!
Dmack1
Sorry to hear this. Unfortunately it is becoming more of an issue. Disrespectful neighbours can be a curse!
GazAstro
Large mirrors on stands directing the light back at him ! But seriously try inviting them over to look through your scope maybe ?

I am an approachable person and great with people, but they definitely do not want to speak with us, I am thinking they were caused issues by the previous tenants. It would not be so bad if he knew how to set up the sensitivity and the light detection on the PIR units, as then they would not come on so much as if a leaf blows they are on and off!
