Rare Astronomical photos in 1929

Recommended Posts

Interestingly the encyclopedia editors called what we now know as galaxies the classification name "nebula" back in 1929. It wasn't until Edwin Hubble's work in the 1930s proved that many of these objects, previously thought to be clouds of dust and gas, then classified as "nebulae" were actually galaxies beyond the Milky Way. Great find Nikolai.
