Popular Post Carastro
Taken over 3 nights (bit of a struggle as I have to wait for it to appear over the houses, have a very short window of opportunity followed by about 3 hours behind a tree, then shortly after it emerges there is a Meridian flip and then I am lucky to get 1 1/2 hours before it disappears behind the next lot of trees), and not to mention how cloudy it has been over the last 2 months. So only managed just under 3 hours in 3 nights. Atik460EX and Baader filters EFW Samyang 135mm Bortle 8 Ha 11 x 600 RGB total of 25 x 150secs between all filters. Total imaging time approx 2h 50mins N.B. Some data added from 2017 of M78 (as hopeless from Bortle 😎 Enlarged version: https://www.astrobin.com/full/upup7z/C/ https://cdn.astrobin.com/thumbs/JiewC9DasqPT_16536x0_JXczOqwr.jpg Edited February 5, 2021 by Carastro

Hallingskies
That's nice, especially given your location and (by the sound of it) difficult horizon. What aperture were you at? (f2.8 I guess...).
Wyvern
I think you've done a great job with this Carole. You can start to see some of the dust filaments around the region which are hard to pull out even when at less light polluted skies than yours.

Carastro
The images do not seem to have migrated across with the updated forum. Maybe this is because these were linked elsewhere. Can't edit original post, so inserted new URL N.B. Astrobdlbug
Carole - wonderful colour in your image - I’m sure it took a bit of work to overcome LP gradients . I’ve got loads of Ha but never added RGB - the whole Barnards loop is another of my pending projects for yet another mosaic - we know what happened last time I had that idea... I also like your M78 and that it’s merged from another session under darker skies great work great Image Bryan
