Hallingskies
With absolutely nothing doing for the past three months, I thought I'd rework some old data from last March to try and bring out the outer spiral arms of M101 from the background murk... Comments and criticism welcome... Edited February 4, 2021 by Hallingskies

MarkAR
Hell of a lot more visible compared to the old version, well done.

Thanks, I knew that data was buried in there somewhere, it just took a bit if digging to get it to show. I had some old H alpha data to put in the mix as well, which helped flatten the background a bit.

It looks OK if you don’t look too closely. This, of course, is another one that needs dark skies to do it justice.

Carastro
Excellent Hallingskies, this is one target I have never been able to get a decent result on, or at least one I am satisfied with. Carole

MartinS
Loverly image Hallingskies, you don’t say how you improved it, was it new post processing software or a new work process? What post processing app are you using? Martin
