Popular Post Carastro
I have been sitting on this data since August as was never really happy with it. But in the absence of any other imaging ATM I took another look at it. This was taken at Astro camp in East Sussex Bortle 4 during the short respite from Lockdowns. Samyang 135mm @ F2.8 Atik460EX HEQ5 Lum 12 x 500 RGB 4 x 300 each Total imaging time 3 hours. Edited February 7, 2021 by Carastro
Hallingskies
A good rendition: I find this a tough target as well, having never got a result I've been happy with in 15 years of imaging. You've picked up some of the dusty stuff, well done.

You captured a lot of background nebulosity which adds to the image. Brian

Gina
Beautiful image Carole and not just the stars and surrounding nebulosity by the background nebulosity too. Good one!!
Carastro
Thanks Gina, actually it was the small stars that I wasn't happy with. I think they just looked too sharp to me. Carole
Gina
Well I can't see anything wrong and how can the stars be "too sharp"?
