Hallingskies
Date: November 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 15-16th. 2020Equipment: ATIK 460EX with EFW2, Skywatcher f5.5 Esprit 100 ED refractor, Avalon Linear mount, guiding with Lodestar X2/PHD Subframes: 47 x 600s Ha, 10 x 600s each for RGB (2x2 binned), flats, no darks (hot pixel removal in Astroart) The last completed image I have managed: not a sniff since mid-November. I notice Another Forum has posted some data of this area for folk to play with, but this is all my own - hence the grainy, noisy background. The only workable narrowband data was in H alpha: I got zip from my Bortle 6 location in SII and OIII, with colour coming from RGB (with a big selective stretch in B).

AstronomyUkraine
Looks great. 😃 I have never heard it called the Chinese Dragon nebula, but I can understand why. I usually see it referred as the y Cas Nebula. Brian 1

Global warming I suppose... Not sure about global warming. It's -12 here, and a real feel of -24. I know what you mean though. Not had one clear sky since November. Usually get a few really clear nights in winter, and the sky is pitch black.

I think we are due -5 in SE England on Weds, guess that's tropical to you guys!

Summer weather! The weather here can be ridiculous. Two years ago we had a metre of snow on the floor in April. In the second week of April it went up to +30, with snow still on the ground. Still, if global warming predictions are right, the UK will start seeing Ukraine-type weather in the future...

I remember when I lived in the UK, going to work one morning in June, and it was -2.

I don't plan to go back to this one - the noise arises from the monumental stretch I had to apply to get this one to show any detail, particularly in the blue colour channel. Interestingly, I note that the IKI narrowband data (garnered from more and longer subs from Spanish skies) on That Other Forum also gets a bit noisy when you stretch it out, so I don't feel too bad about my own effort.
