NGC2174 - Monkey Head Nebula

While still learning Pixinsight, I can now at least complete most of the basic functions. Complex tasks are still beyond my ability at this stage, but hope to get some steers or guidance from other members.

The corners suggest the Back Focus distance needs to be extended and so far I have tried up to an additional 5mm beyond the recommended focuser distance to no avail. Now I suspect the Flatteners flat field is rolling off the edges of the APS-C sensors real estate, any thoughts.

Feedback welcomed.

I would suggest using the recommended back focus for your flattener. Most astro images will have some kind of vignetting in the corners. Flat frames should take care of that problem. If you have slight vignetting in the calibrated images, using DBE in Pixinsight should remove it, applying the division image correction option.
