Another crack at M45

Trying to make the most of the clear nights, despite the moon. lol

40x120s subs, 30 darks. Altiar 72mm semi apo, ZWO 178MC. Captured with ZWO AsiAir Pro. Processed with startools, paint.net and windows photo editor.

I decided to lower the gain of the camera, i had been using 270, but all of my efforts always look too noisy to me. Used 130 for this effort.

Thanks for looking, i don't think i am ever going to get to grips with processing lol.

Nice. Lots of great nebulosity and cool framing

Had to screw a focal reducer on nosepiece of camera. It's still quite a tight fit and didn't leave too much space for cropping.

Need to figure out a way of stopping the stars from bloating next. And maybe an even lower gain setting.

I tried adding additional data to this as I captured some more last night.

However, the result wasn't as pleasing as I thought it would be.

Can anyone advise if I'm doing this correctly.

Lights+darks from 1st session added to "main group" in DSS

Lights + darks from 2nd session added to "group 1" in DSS

Check all images in both groups and let DSS do it's stuff???

Yes, that's the correct way :)
