Astrobdlbug
following on from my 'desparate' Ha 5minute sub image plus widefield colour process - I did get several hours of clear weather last night, Thursday, and captured a little over 3 hours on IC410. I did then cull a few subs and ended up with an hour each for Ha, Oiii and Sii. The image could do with a few more nights data to get up to around 8-10hrs, but this image will just have to live with 3hrs at least for this season as the weather does not look very favourable over the next week or two. processing was a bit more challenging trying to tease out information especially Sii and to certain extent Oiii. I will probably take the nebula imaging rig off the mount this weekend and I dont really have a 'scope to image galaxies so this could be me done for a few months. I usually have some doubts this time of year as to why I sold my C11 a few years back but then again I wouldn't have a CMOS camera if I hadn't sold it and trying to guide and image at sub-pixel per arcsec with a C11 - well some people manage fine, but I will stick to refractors and lens for imaging . I guess it wil be more time in the greenhouse as the evenings brighten up ... So for now this is probably my last image for this season - its been my first season imaging with Narrowband and I have definately enjoyed the experience and invested in better filters recently as well.
