Popular Post Carastro
Having not much else to do at the moment due to galaxy season, and can only really image in narrowband, I have been looking back at old images and seeing if I can improve them. I took this back in 2019 at Astro camp with my Atik428EX and ED120.Ha 3.5nm 15 x 600Oiii & Sii binned 300 x 8 eachRGB 4 x 100 binned EachMount HEQ5I was never happy with the final processing, so thought I would have another "go" at it.This is the original process, I was never happy with: Then I gave it another attempt last night and got this which I am much happier with. Always good to hang onto old data that you can go back to later and reprocess as your processing skills improve.
Sonyme
Really nice. You managed to fade out the stars in the background and at the same time capture loads more detail in the nebula.👍

Astrobdlbug
Great re-process : lots more dusty stuff pulled out from background and the dark areas - they probably have a proper name but I’ll call it dark dust for now - they are much better defined. Great outcome from an evenings work Bryan
Carastro
Thanks Bryan, the dark nebulosity does stand out better with the new version. I think that's the correct word lol. Carole Edited March 29, 2021 by Carastro
