AstronomyUkraine
This is my image of M51. Eventually it will be a HaLRGB image, this is just a quickly processed RGB image. I have the Ha data, just need a few more hours of Lum data to complete it. Brian

Got around 3 hours of lum data. Hope to get 10 hours, and I have two days of clear weather forecast at the weekend, and no moon.
PeterBolt
I'm still having to wait. It's a shame seeing as we have just had a run of clear nights... trying to think of a way of moving my scope to the front of the house... but then I can't see Polaris and won't be able to use Sharpcap for my polar alignment. Any ideas?

Any ideas? You could try the drift alignment tool in PHD2. As long as you are roughly pointing towards Polaris when starting drift alignment, you should get decent alignment. Any ideas? Hi Peter, if you're guiding and not trying too long a sub length the ASPA feature on the AVX might do for a reasonable polar alignment ... run it twice and see how it works out maybe ? Thanks yes I should give it another try. The last time my basic alignment wasn't good enough and the star disappeared from view and it took me ages to get it back 🙈 Since then I have been using Shapcap which is so fast.
