The new Starwave Ascent 115 APO

So, very lucky to have received this scope yesterday, first impressions? Very nice. Solid but also light enough that I’m not going to do myself an injury walking up and down the garden with it!

Managed to get an unexpected first light with it last night. Stuck in an Altair ultra flat eyepiece and just took in that beautiful crescent moon. It was crispy !😃

after that couldn’t resist popping the 290c and a 3x Barlow in there to get a quick shot of the moon. Lunar is not my forte...but I suspect I’m going to go back to lunar a lot now!

I’ll be doing a video in due course, but I haven’t been great for a little while, so just want to enjoy using the scope and getting back out there for now 😊
