Old Speckled Hen
Is it possible to counter heavy LP and still use video to "get a better view" on a AZ tracking mount?
MarkAR
I think with the right filter you might be able to improve the odds.
jcj380
I'm exploring EAA as an option for home and everything seems to indicate that live stacking can pull out a lot of targets, even in heavy LP. I think the Revolution Imager does 5 stacks maximum; not sure about other video cameras like the Atik. Matt
I have a friends who deal with light pollution using Optolong L-Pro and L-eXtreme filters. The L-Pro requires shorter exposure times to get a bright onscreen view. However, they do so with MallinCams (of all types). I don't use light pollution filters much myself for EAA due to a rural location. Live stacking is a significant benefit found in the control software of some cameras, including the MallinCam SkyRaider series. Good EAA cameras can do amazing things.
