This has been discussed on other astronomy forums, but in case you have missed it, the author/developer of SkyMap Pro [Chris Marriott] has decided to retire or pursue other interests.

The website from where you could purchase the installation discs, updates, service packs, etc. and 'demo' is no longer available. Other non-astro sites have download links to the 'demo' version, but has a limited time/life span of about 2-4 weeks. After that, that's it. It is no good trying to re-install it either... as your PC/laptop knows you have previously installed it.
