@TerryMcK straight forward to use and good results, I think there is a free trial, worth a go!

Looks good but won't run on my PC (says graphics card isn't up to it)

I use gradient Xterminator - similar but a bit more manual.

I think I will have to give Astropixelprocessor a try - if the weather ever allows me to take another photo ? I am also waiting for my camera to be modified so lots to try next time out!

APP works really well, in fact I find that APP does a better job than the gradientX plugin

I'm a huge fan of gradient exterminator, especially as if you use  a well-made mask around the background and use background neutralisation it does a superb job on star colours.

 

I've started using astro flat and it seems very promising, but I need to use it a bit more to decide what works best.

I have used both Astro flat pro and Gradient exterminator.

 

Astro flat pro is good but you have to be very careful with it as it can quickly destroy faint detail in an image. I now tend to use PixInsight for most processing then just little touch ups in Photoshop
