Farpoint 8" dew sheild

I normally choose to go diy but for around £32 this 8" no notch dew sheild by the USA company Farpoint has certainly impressed me.

 

Normally most dew sheilds I have used both DIY and bought tend to not hold their shape all that well when fitted or at least that's my own findings, whereas this is solid circle once fitted with no sagging.

 

The construction comprises of a sheet of ABS plastic coated with a deep flocked black felt, followed by a strip of foam at the base which both offers a secure grip as well as that of a cushioning effect and should not mark the scope.

 

I am utilising this one for my 190mm Maksutov Newtonian. I think I need not state supplier as you can find it in most large astronomical equipment shops.
