Baader SkySurfer V

Recommended Posts

Well, after the initial disappointment with the Baader SkySurfer 111 I decided to give the SkySurfer V a go. Wow, what a difference! Quality is so much better, no flexure anywhere as it is, with exception of the cool caps, all aluminium and weighs no more than a 9x50mm finder. Lovely coated optics, the red dot adjusters are both wratached which is great, 11 levels of brightness. The caps are hinged on the unit, you also get a dovetail shoe with it another nice touch. All in all very impressive!

The Skysurfer V is my finder of choice,  I have literally tested every finder under the sun, the Telrad is legendary and I love it but the skysurfer looks a lot nicer and is built like a tank.

They're all in my signature. It doesn't suit any of them.

You have a SW 180 Mak, I use mine on the same scope?

Very nice scope there! I have a Tak FS128

Nice! It is new to me, I have been searching for an FS128 for years, I mean obsessively clicking on scope Classifieds daily, several times a day. When the opportunity came up I was ready to scale Everest for it. How long have you had yours? and what are your favorite targets with it? so far, it has been a killer on planets and lunar.
